As a note, Dengeki Bunkou has been publishing numerous novels since June 1993, and last year celebrated their 10th anniversary. Kino no Tabi volume 8 will mark their 1000th published title. I think it's a sign of how highly they value their Kino property that they allowed one of its volumes to be the landmark number.
